Jenkins recovering in rehab
The Northern Cape government says Hazel Jenkins has made a remarkable recovery after suffering a stroke.
CAPE TOWN - Premier Hazel Jenkins has made a remarkable recovery after suffering a stroke, the Northern Cape government said on Tuesday.
In February, she was rushed to a public hospital where she underwent surgery.
The premier was ordered to receive plenty of rest.
Her spokesperson Mafu Davids said the premier was walking, talking and looked fine.
He said Jenkins was referred to a Bloemfontein rehabilitation centre for further treatment.
"She's made a remarkable recovery, but she still has a long way to go."
