CAPE TOWN - Ajax Cape Town striker Terror Fanteni on Tuesday said even though Kaizer Chiefs are out of the running for the title they would not be a walk over.

Amakhosi will also want to show their new coach Stuart Baxter what they can do when they host Ajax on Wednesday night.

Fanteni said Chiefs will be playing for pride, but they also want to win.

"Kaizer Chiefs has a lot to play for. They have many supporters and every game is important for them. We know they will do their best to win the game."

Fanteni said the season has been a huge disappointment for the team and on a personal level.

"It has not been a good season for me. I was out for some time, but I believe I still have a lot to offer."

Both sides will be fighting for their spot in the top eight so that they can be part of the MTN Top 8 next season.

On Tuesday, Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune said they wanted to impress their new coach by winning against the Cape side.

Baxter was unveiled as the new Amakhosi coach on Monday.
