Rape suspect remains behind bars
A Soweto man accused of drugging and raping will remain in jail.
JOHANNESBURG - A man accused of drugging and raping a woman will remain behind bars after his case was postponed in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Police were patrolling Jabulani when they came across the man raping the woman in a veld.
The woman was taken to hospital.
According to the police's Kay Makhubele, the man will return to court on Monday.
Officials are still investigation the case.
Community Safety MEC Faith Mazibuko welcomed the arrest.
Her spokesperson Thapelo Moiloa said, "It is through visible policing that they managed to make an arrest."
