JRA reopens doors for pothole brigade
The JRA are interested in getting Dial Direct back on board for the pothole brigade project.
JOHANNESBURG - The City of Johannesburg has confirmed an interest in getting Dial Direct back onboard to continue with the pothole brigade.
The initiative was scrapped despite the fact that over 50,000 potholes were fixed since its launch in 2010.
The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) had to formalise procedures through a tender process which never materialised.
The City's Gabu Tugwana said the company must comply.
"The JRA will get hold of them and continue the discussion and try to formulate any paperwork sp the project is able to comply - just like any other project."
Earlier this week, the JRA was forced to formalise procedures through a tender process which they were unable to do.
