CAPE TOWN - A Khayelitsha infant snatched at a local Home Affairs office has been found.

Three-week-old Asenathi Magoda was reunited with her mother Xoliswa on Wednesday.

He went missing on Tuesday.

A woman offered to look after him while his teenage mother went home to fetch a medical certificate.

The woman and the baby boy were found at house in Khayelitsha.

The police's Frederick van Wyk said the infant was back at home

"They found the suspect hiding in the wardrobe holding the baby. It was later established that the 30-year-old suspect was pregnant, but lost her baby in a miscarriage."
