Management at the Rand Easter Show on Sunday said stunts by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) paratroopers and air force proved to be the most entertaining in 2012.
Good Friday marked the beginning of the annual family festival held at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.
The Johannesburg Expo Centre's Craig Newman said there was an array of activities for children and adults including cooking competitions and motoring exhibitions.
"The high diving acts from Canada are proving to be popular. You've got to come to the show just to see these high diving, it's unbelievable."
Adult tickets are available for R80, while kids from 12 to 16-years-old pay R40.
The gates open at 9am and close at 6pm.
The show ends on 15 April.
