Disgraced policeman Gerhardus du Plessis and co-accused Willem Pieterse pleaded guilty to murdering Chanelle Henning on Wednesday.
The pair appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court where an 18-year prison sentence was handed down on each of them.
Henning was shot dead moments after dropping her son off at school in Faerie Glen in November.
Gerhardus du Plessis and Willem Pieterse have given details of the weeks leading up to the murder of Chanelle Henning.
They have also implicated co-accused Ambrose Monye and Andre Gouws as the men who commissioned the hit.
Du Plessis said all the accused knew each other and met several times before the hit.
He said Monye organised the hitmen, while Gouws provided all the information including Henning's address.
Part of the plea agreement is that du Plessis and Pieterse would testify against the other accused.
