A Cape Town sculptor on Wednesday said she will continue erecting artworks along the Sea Point Promenade despite the works being vandalised.

Marieke Prinsloo-Rowe said thus far she had to rebuild four sculptures which are part of an 18-piece exhibit.

The work is titled Walking the Road.

"She's a complicated sculpture to cast but I will be recasting her and then bring her back to the Promenade hopefully within the next two weeks," she said.

Prinsloo-Rowe added she has a very busy few days ahead.

"I do find it very upsetting to have to arrive on the Promenade and pick up pieces of my sculpture."
