Western Province backline coach Robbie Fleck on Friday said Demetri Catrakilis has big match temperament.

Catrakilis will play in arguably the biggest game of his career so far when Province faces Lions in their Currie Cup semi final later on Saturday.

The fly-half has been one of the standout performers this season.

Fleck said his Varsity Cup experience will be key.

"A couple of months ago he was playing Varsity Cup so he's played in his own right in a semi-final and final rugby. He's won a trophy in 2011 already with the University of Cape Town. He knows on a smaller scale what to do," he said.

Fleck added Catrakilis is relaxed ahead of the match.

"This is just a little bit bigger so there's more pressure. He's done exceptionally well for us, we will be chatting to him constantly. He is a cool customer. Nothing really fazes him."
