Gauteng police confirmed on Wednesday that the Andrews family have identified the body of Mark Phillip Andrews.

The police's Lungelo Dlamini said officers were now investigating a case of murder.

"A case of murder has been opened and we are appealing to members of the public who may have information to come forward."

Andrews, a known associate of slain Teazers boss Lolly Jackson was found dead in Brackendowns on Gauteng's East Rand.

His body was discovered next to a road near his home in Alberton with his hands tied behind his back and a gunshot wound to his head.

Last Wednesday, Eyewitness News revealed that Jackson's lawyer Ian Jordaan's burnt out car and a body were found near Hekpoort on Gauteng's West Rand.

This after he was kidnapped and forced to transfer some R1.8 million that he was holding for Jackson.

It is believed Andrews was

the police's prime suspect in the apparent murder of

Jordaan after it was discovered that the offshore account in which the money

was transferred to, had his name.
