Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane has named Steven Pienaar as captain of the 23-man squad for the upcoming friendly against Burkina Faso.

The clash will take place next Wednesday at the Coca-Cola Park.

Mosimane included SuperSport United defender-cum-midfielder Tebogo Langerman.

However, Orlando Pirates goalie Moeneeb Josephs who is recovering from a shoulder injury was left out.

Mosimane said he will use the upcoming match to prepare for the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier against Niger.

"A friendly game will help us to fine tune our squad ahead of the

game against Niger because we must never lose the focus. The focus is

Niger which is our most, most crucial game," he said.

The squad includes:

Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune and Wayne Sandilands.

Defenders: Morgan Gould, Tebogo Langerman, Tshepo Masilela, Siboniso Gaxa, Bongani Khumalo, Anele Ngcongca, Siyabonga Sangweni and Happy Jele.

Midfielders: Kagisho Dikgacoi, Hlompho Kekana, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, skipper Steven Pienaar, Tlou Segogela, Andile Jali, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Thanduyise Khuboni.

Strikers: Chiefs new boy Bernard Parker, Thulani Serero, Katlego Mphela, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kermit Erasmus.
