Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe's flamboyant nephew has made an open display of his incredible wealth.

Philip Chiyangwa, who is the president of the country's black empowerment lobby, says he owns thousands of residential stands in the capital.

Last year he boasted of having assets worth US$200 million.

He vowed then to sell everything if it meant keeping the MDC out of power.

In front page news on Friday, Chiyangwa stunned local government officials by telling them he owns 57,000 residential plots in Harare alone.

The business tycoon also declared that he has business investments in four other towns around Zimbabwe.
