Motor racing's governing body has asked Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone to take another look at a controversial 2011 calendar that reinstated the Bahrain Grand Prix, FIA president Jean Todt said on Thursday.

In a letter to the Formula One teams body FOTA, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) president said the body was "always prepared to address any issues, however difficult, in a constructive manner.

"I have listened to your last-minute objections and have asked the commercial rights holder to re-examine his calendar proposal, and if necessary, to resubmit a revised proposal to the (FIA) world council."
