An alleged serial rapist who police claim operated in Johannesburg has been arrested in KwaMashu, Kwa-Zulu Natal. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Officers pounced on him in the early hours of Friday morning after they gathered information from his house in southern <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Johannesburg, earlier this week. The man is wanted in connection with at least 12 incidents.
He would invite young women to his “birthday party” and on the way to the venue, he would tell the women that he needed to pick up his sister or friend. The suspect would then take the women to hotels in Hillbrow and the Johannesburg CBD where he would rape them.
Police are expected to bring the man back to <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Johannesburg on Friday.
