The Gauteng Education Department on Wednesday said a teacher allegedly caught printing out child pornography at his school will remain on precautionary suspension until a probe into the matter is completed.

Police are also investigating the allegations.

The department said the primary school teacher from <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><place w:st="on"><placename w:st="on">Kempton<placetype w:st="on">Park will not be allowed back in the classroom until his name has been cleared.

“The feeling is that the educator poses a potential threat to learners,” said Gauteng Education’s Charles Phahlane.
