Panjo the tiger, who shot to fame a month ago after escaping from his owner’s bakkie and spending two days on the prowl, will become two friends richer on Wednesday.

The Bengal tiger’s owner, Goosey Fernandes, has been preparing to transport them to his farm in Groblersdal.

Fernandes obtained permits for transportating his two new cats, Alice and Apollo - a Siberian tiger - from the Rhino and <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><place w:st="on"><placename w:st="on">Lion<placetype w:st="on">Park outside Johannesburg.

Fernandes said with special crates and tracking devices there will not be any runaway tigers this time round.
