For those staying at home, the City of <?xml:namespace prefix="u1"?><city u2:st="on"><place u2:st="on"><?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Johannesburg has many activities on offer including the Rand Show.
Eyewitness News took to the streets to find out what residents had planned.
One <city u2:st="on"><place u2:st="on"><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Johannesburg resident said, “I’m just working because [I need] money.”
Some residents had plans for birthdays and relocating while another resident said it would be better to stay home over the festive season.
“Everybody else is going to be going away, so it would be best to stay in Jo’burg, you don’t have to queue anywhere. All the restaurants will be open and you can do what you need to,” he said.
