The IEC launched the Youth Ambassador’s For Electoral Democracy, aimed at getting young people excited about and interested in voting.

The IEC’s Kate Bapela said over 100 people were recruited as part of the new initiative.

“These are the young people who are in various sectors who have got influence in their own sectors who will then proceed with the work of the commission and also continue to inspire other young people top be aware of electoral issues.”
