Mathe is on trial for over 70 offences, including attempted murder, rape and housebreaking.

The woman, who was 19-years-old when she was allegedly raped by Mathe, told the court she offered her attacker money to protect her family.

She said he told her he was going to kill her parents if she screamed.

The man, dubbed the Houdini of C-Max, also allegedly tried to rape her mother because her underwear and pyjamas were cut off with a pair off kitchen scissors.

The woman’s mother testified on Thursday, saying not only did her daughter’s attacker get away with cash and a cell phone but he also stole her child’s virginity.

The trial has been adjourned until Monday.
