Three men are on trial for killing the reggae icon in a botched hijacking in Rosettenville in southern <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on"><?xml:namespace prefix="u1"?><city u2:st="on"><place u2:st="on">Johannesburg.

Although Brakenhurst resident Melissa Allworth could not positively identify the suspects who hijacked her, she testified how a blue Citi Golf with two men pulled up behind her and made off with her car on 13 October 2007.

She was the first state witness to take the stand.

Her green VW Polo Playa is the car believed to have been used by the suspects to drive to Rosettenville on the day Dube was dropping off his children at his brother’s house.

Dube was gunned down on 18 October 2007.

The trial is expected to continue on Monday with more witnesses due to give testimony.
