Heavy downpours caused flooding in large parts of the province.

On Wednesday rain caused flash flooding on several <place w:st="on"><city w:st="on">Johannesburg roads, including the <street w:st="on"><address w:st="on">New Canada Road and <street w:st="on"><address w:st="on">Jan Smuts Avenue during peak hour traffic.

Forecaster Mark Todd says more rain could be expected.

“We’re expecting another cloudy and cool day in <place w:st="on"><state w:st="on">Gauteng with an 80% chance of showers and thunder showers. That’s wide spread showers and thundershowers,” says Todd.
