They took a three wicket win against <country-region w:st="on">Australia</country-region> in the third ODI in <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Sydney to go 2-1 ahead of the Aussies.

Albie Morkel smashed 40 runs off 22 balls to help <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">South Africa</country-region> to victory.

Australia won the toss and chose to bat first but was shot out for 269 runs while Johan Botha was brilliant as he finished with three for 32 from 10 over’s.

In reply the Proteas had a shaky start but Herschelle Gibbs hit 64 runs off just 52 balls and Jaqcues Kallis contributed with a speedy 60 runs which took him to 10 000 runs in the process.
