Dalling said he had become disillusioned with the ruling party because of its stance on several issues including <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Zimbabwe</country-region> and HIV/Aids.
He said he was also perturbed by the way in which the Travelgate scandal was handled.
Dalling announced he supported COPE’s position on bringing back the Scorpions.
The 69-year old denied he was a political opportunist, despite being a member of various political parties through the decades.
“I think that I can describe my life as a progression,” said Dalling.
His decision to change political allegiance so frequently would be queried by some.
