The Pan Africanist Congress announced it would launch its election manifesto next week.

The party’s National Executive Committee met in <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><place w:st="on">East London on Saturday to consider and ratify its 2009 election manifesto as well as its candidates list.

The PAC’s Apa Pooe said, “I did expect that the PAC would contest all the seats that are in the National Assembly and in all the provinces, and then next week it is expected that the process would be concluded.” <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

Pooe added that they were also expecting a number of new members from other parties to join the party, “The president would also be accepting about the 300 members from different political parties who would be joining the <place w:st="on">PAC.”
