It was suspected that the trio had attempted to drive under a bridge in Ruimsig on the <place w:st="on">West Rand but their truck was too high for the concrete entrance.

The truck crashed into the concrete pylon that then crashed down onto their truck cab.

All three men sustained serious injuries and it took emergency workers more then three hours to free them from the damaged cab.

ER24’s Werner Vermaak said, “Rescue workers were forced to cut through the back of the truck to get to the trapped occupants.”<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
