The Freedom Front Plus has laid a complaint with the Human Rights Commission regarding racist statements allegedly made by two Freestate policemen.

It was alleged that the officers called an Odendaalrus farmer a ‘white dog’ and later stated that all, “white dogs in <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">South Africa</country-region> will be killed".

The farmer has also laid criminal charges against the men.

Meanwhile, Freedom Front Plus’s Pieter Groenewald said the case has been reported to the Safety and Security Ministry.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

“We also requested the Minister for Safety and Security Mr Nathi Mthethwa to immediately suspend Constables Mokwena and Mafabatho who said these words. These actions of police members attest to naked racism,” Groenewald said.
