Parliament was set to announce the list of MPs who would decide the fate of Vusi Pikoli early next week.

Twenty two MPs would sit on an Ad-Hoc Committee that would consider President Kgalema Motlanthe’s decision to remove the suspended prosecutions head from office.

They would have to evaluate the president’s move before sending their recommendation to Parliament’s two houses for adoption.

“Parliament will announce the constitution of the 22 member joined Ad-Hco Committee to deal with the matter on monday,” said Parliamentary Communications Manager Luzuko Jacobs.

Pikoli was suspended by former president Thabo Mbeki because of the apparent breakdown in his relationship with then justice minister Brigette Mabandla.
