COPE members welcome a new recruit in Khayelitsha

The Congress of the People’s second deputy president expressed confidence in the party’s financial stability.

Linda Odendaal addressed hundreds of Khayelitsha residents earlier this afternoon. She informed members of the community about Cope’s upcoming election campaign and the party’s political future.

Odendaal acknowledged election campaigns cost millions, but added the party will manage.

"The financial situation of the organization will be best on the support base of our individuals on the ground . there is no such thing such as you know people throwing money at us. we need to look at at this from a positive perspective; we need to continually talk to our supporters to ensure that we have as i call it the oils to keep the wheel going. and obviously if we say the right things to our supporters finance wouldn’t be the problem", Odendaal explained.
