There has been a twist in the apparent murder of a Brackenfell family.

Sixty-seven-year-old Marina Strydom and her 74-year-old husband Hendrick were shot in their home on Monday. Their 46-year-old son died of his injuries this morning.

The Brackenfell police’s Erica Crouse says they found a suicide note at the scene.

“At this stage we can confirm a letter was found on the scene. All three parties indicated it was a mutual decision to end their lives” said Crouse.

It’s still not clear who fired the fatal shot. Police are will continue investigating a case of murder.
