Rescue officials were still trying to recover the body of a woman who went missing in <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><placename w:st="on">Ivory<placetype w:st="on">Park on the <place w:st="on">East Rand during flash floods last week.
The search for Shadi Kgaladi’s body was suspended two days ago but resumed on Wednesday.
She and her niece were swept into a river in the area on New Years Eve and the little girl’s body was found last week.
Rescue workers braved the scorching heat in a polluted river as they worked to recover Kgaladi’s body.
About 50m from where officials had set up camp, members of Kgaladi’s family sat under a tree waiting for any news.
Officers said they would do whatever it took to help her family find closure.
