<city w:st="on"><city u2:st="on">Gloucester and <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on"><place u2:st="on"><country-region u2:st="on">England</country-region></country-region> winger Lesley Vainikolo would miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 29-year-old international suffered the injury in Saturday’s 22 to 16 Guinness Premiership win over Saracen.

Wasps flanker Tom Rees would miss at least the majority of the Six Nations because of a knee injury suffered during Sunday’s 24 to18 premiership win over Harlequins.
