Lenasia and Ennerdale residents in south of <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Johannesburg have told Eyewitness News that licensing stations have been offline for two weeks.
They claimed that staff were unconcerned by the development and one man has commented that he was struggling to renew his vehicle license at the Lenasia Civic Centre.
“I walked in and they said they were offline we must go down to Ennerdale only to come back, people from Ennerdale are coming to Lens [Lenasia] because they are telling them in Ennerdale that we offline go to Lenasia.”
The Ennerdale Licensing Department confirmed that it was offline however, staff encouraged Lenasia residents to continue trying, saying they were expecting to be back online very soon.
Meanwhile, attempts to contact the Licensing Department on the matter have been unsuccessful.
