The duo faced murder charges after two brothers were stabbed to death at their Gugulethu home last week.
The teenagers allegedly entered the siblings’ KwaKhikhi home on New Year’s Day and stabbed them to death.
Police apprehended the suspects in a Phillippi house while they were washing bloodied knives and blood-stained clothes.
Officers said the motive for the double murder was not clear.
