In one incident, a fireworks factory was robbed.

An army surplus store was also attacked and the gunmen made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police have called on anyone with information about the robberies to contact Crime Stop while anonymous tip-offs can also be sent to Primedia’s Crime Line on 32211.

Eight armed robbers pulled into the fireworks factory in Hercules in western <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Pretoria on New Year’s Eve and held up staff before loading cash and some fireworks into the car and driving off.

Police have already caught four suspects but were still looking for the rest of the gang.

Meanwhile, another group of gunmen tied up two security guards at an army surplus store before breaking into the building and stealing a large amount of cash.

Police were not able to identify the suspects.
