The <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><place w:st="on"><placename w:st="on">Chris<placename w:st="on">Hani<placename w:st="on">Baragwanath<placetype w:st="on">Hospital claimed that all of its New Year’s babies were in good health and should be sent home soon.

The hospital said there were 27 labour deliveries at their maternity ward after midnight on Wednesday which included 15 girls and 12 boys.

It said the biggest of the batch was a boy who weighed 3,6 kg and was born 30 minutes into 2009.

The hospital’s Nomusa Sibiya said, “Our first baby is actually the biggest baby and none of them is below best weight. They are quite big babies. There isn’t any below best weight babies, so babies that are with their mothers, if there isn’t anything else wrong with them, they will be going home with their mothers."
