The owner of the ill-fated Kingfisher Chokka boat that sank off St Francis Bay last week said he was supporting the relatives of eight missing crew members who have still not been accounted for.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
David Goldberg said the families were very distressed.
A <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Port Elizabeth newspaper reported that Goldberg was not able to assist the deceased crew members’ families because his insurance company’s offices were closed until 8 January but Goldberg refuted these claims.
However, he said there were other issues that needed to be resolved but said he was handling the situation.
