Parking and transport for participants
On Saturday, vehicles can be parked in and around Green Point Common. Participants can also park at the V&A Waterfront and walk up to Somerset Road or Cape Town Stadium Forecourt.
On Sunday, the same applies, although Beach Road in Mouille Point, into Fritz Sonnenberg Road, will only be accessible before 7am. P3 is reserved for VIP Parking only. Parking areas are to be accessed between 5am and 6:30am.
The MyCiTi shuttle service will run between the Civic Centre and Stadium stations at five-minute intervals from 5:30am to 6:30am, and at 10-minute intervals from 6:30am to 7:10am. Only runners who have a Sanlam Cape Town Marathon IRT shuttle ticket will be able to use the service. Tickets cost R5 and can be bought from registration at The Lookout in Granger Bay. Marshalls at Stadium Station will direct runners to their appropriate starting points.
Race organisers recommend that runners get to the starting line on both days as early as possible.
