JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng police on Friday said a woman arrested in connection with a R10 million drug bust will face additional charges after she tried to alert her co-accused.
Three people were arrested on Thursday during raids in central Johannesburg and Honeydew.
Police said they recovered cocaine, dagga and khat.
The police's Vish Naidoo said the first woman was arrested at a storage facility and allegedly knew about the operation in Honeydew.
“She defeated the ends of justice by trying to alert a Nigerian national, who was the one who was storing the drugs.”
The three suspects will appear in court on Monday.
In July, police conducted a massive mandrax bust in northern Johannesburg.
