Theo Nkonki | 10 August 2012 JOHANNESBURG - Police said they have now identified one of the suspects who allegedly beat a Muslim man to death following a fight triggered by racist and anti-Islamic comments in Magaliesburg. Mohammed Fayaz Kazi and a friend were attacked at a Chicken Licken outlet on Monday. Kazi and his friend overheard two men talking about the length of his beard. An argument broke out and that led to a fight. Kazi suffered a traumatic brain injury and died the next day. The police's Neville Malila said they are now searching for a 33-year-old man from Rustenburg. “Investigators are currently working around the clock locating the suspect that they have identified. Police have been to his house but he was not there.” Several people including North West Premier Thandi Modise have condemned the incident. Modise called the incident racist.
