Scandal actress Nthati Moshesh has joined the Save the Rhino Campaign which aims to raise awareness about the plight of rhino poaching.
The Wildlands Conservation Trust painted several life-like rhino figures which would be auctioned off next year.
The money would be used to fit tracker systems in rhino horns.
Over 400 rhinos were killed this year.
The figure was 13 more than last year.
Moshesh said she was doing this for the future of South African children.
“I want to leave my 10-year-old son with something. I want him to be able to see a live rhino. For every rhino that is killed, it means there are 10 000 school kids that are going to be deprived of seeing a live rhino,” the actress said.
