Items being imported for customers have not arrived yet. Delivery usually take less than a week from Hong Kong it has been two weeks - Daniel Messem.
The post office strike has affected me and my child tremendously. Firstly, my child is the Eastern cape and I need to move or transfer her to the new school here in Gauteng for next year 2010. Secondly, the transfer documents, original birth certificates and school reports are stuck on the post office system. In the meanwhile the school registration process is moving along – it is going to close on me/her. I called the post office line several times. They say there is nothing they can do, I will have to wait till the strike is off, what will I do if it takes 3-4 weeks? This is really not on at all - Amanda, Johannesburg.
I’ve been waiting for my medical aid card to arrive for two weeks now as well as other important documentation! Thankfully we have loads of privately-owned courier companies who realy "Deliver, whatever it takes" - Ruan Smith.
Mailed my cheque for my annual car licence renewal to the Traffic Department on 23 July 2009. They went on strike. Haven’t received my licence because now the Post Office is on strike. The Licence expired on 31 July 2009 - Mike O’Connell, Johannesburg.
I got retrenched in June 2009. Started to work from home by selling perfume in order to provide for my family, pay my bond, car, etc. No income for September due to SAPO strike. I was expecting my order from the supplier on 20 August. I’ve been to the post office every morning since then, to no avail. Got very happy on Monday morning 31 August to see PO Florida open, just to be informed my goods are still at the Krugersdorp hub. Do not know how I will be able to pay my bills for the end of August. The timing of the strike affected me very badly. The majority of my clients have cancelled their orders for last month. I’m gonna have to start all over again to regain their confidence in my little business. NEED HELP - Envor.
