Ramaphosa lands in UAE with hope of bagging investment deals
President Cyril Ramaphosa is meeting United Arab Emirates leader Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi where they will get down to business.
ABU DHABI - President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a state visit aimed at luring investment from the Gulf nation.
Ramaphosa is on his final leg of a trip that saw him visit three countries in three days.
The president is meeting United Arab Emirates leader Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi where they will get down to business.
Ramaphosa is hoping to lure investment from the Gulf nation, on the back of securing a $10 billion commitment from Saudi Saudi on Thursday.
A business delegation is accompanying the president as the UAE is regarded as a lucrative export market for South African products and services.
The current annual trade between the two countries amounts to over R38.2 billion.
Ramaphosa is now hoping to increase this figure.
