[LISTEN] Will Fifa, Russia make profits from 2018 World Cup?

| University of San Francisco’s Michael Goldman says Fifa will definitely walk away with profits, but Russia, like former World Cup hosts, might not.

CAPE TOWN - The first match of the 2018 Fifa World Cup takes place on Thursday at 5:00pm.

Is Fifa going to earn as much in Russia as it has at previous World Cups?

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed the University of San Francisco’s Michael Goldman.

"If you look at Fifa’s income statement, sponsorships are somewhat down, but overall Fifa is hitting its $6 billion revenue target."
