Lee ton in vain as Proteas women lose to England

JOHANNESBURG - The Proteas women lost to England by 69 runs in the second ODI.

Sent in to bat, England posted 331/6 with centuries from Tammy Beaumont (118) and Sarah Taylor (101).

In reply, Lizelle Lee scored 117 and Chloe Tryon made 44 but the Proteas women fell way short of victory.

Captain Dane van Niekerk believes that they made the right decision with the toss.

The series is now level at 1-all.

The third ODI is on Friday.
