JOHANNESBURG - Police are still searching for Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga's vehicle after he was hijacked outside a restaurant in Midrand at the weekend.

He says that he was having dinner with friends when he was accosted by two unknown armed men.

Msimanga said that he was shaken but was greatful that he was not harmed.

"Physically, I'm not harmed. Still a bit shaken, but physically not harmed. We hope that the vehicle is recovered."

The police's Lungelo Dlamini says that they are on a look out for the suspects.

"We are continuing with the investigation and at this stage, the vehicle has not been recovered and no suspects have been identified."
