JOHANNESBURG - Rainy conditions in Gauteng are expected to continue for another week.

However, the Western Cape is battling a heatwave amid the water crisis.

Forecaster Victoria Nurse says the two extremes are not unusual.

“For the next seven days in Gauteng, we still expect some rainfall which will mostly come through in the afternoons in the form of our normal thunderstorms. Over the Western Cape we experience extremely hot and dry conditions. No rainfall is on the cards for the next few days.”
