Lesufi appoints firm to conduct financial audit at Bryanston school
The Bryneven Primary School head has been accused of fraud, mismanagement and nepotism.
JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has appointed an independent firm to conduct a financial audit of the Bryneven Primary School in Bryanston where parents protested earlier on Tuesday demanding the removal of the principal.
The school head has been accused of fraud, mismanagement and nepotism.
Lesufi visited the school earlier on Tuesday where he confirmed 14 teachers have resigned in just the past 12 months due to alleged victimisation.
He says he’ll be taking action against officials found in the wrong.
“Both the SGB to give reasons why we can’t disband them and also to ask the school management team, including the principal, why we shouldn’t suspend them immediately.”
