No, it's not the start of a bad joke, but it is a gathering you won't want to miss.

These politicians, journalist and judge will be amongst the panellists and moderators at The Gathering: ANC Elective Conference 2017 to be held in Sandton on 23 November 2017.

The event is hosted by Daily Maverick in partnership with Eyewitness News and Nandos.

Some of the ANC's presidential hopefuls, including Dlamini Zuma, Mkhize and Lindiwe Sisulu, will be joined by Pravin Gordhan, Mzwanele Manyi, Bantu Holomisa, Professor Nomboniso Gasa, Dr Makhosi Khoza, Andrew Feinstein and others as the spotlight falls on the governing party and its December elective conference.
