JOHANNESBURG – If you are looking for high-end designs combined with tantalising food and wine in the country then Hyde Park Corner Rooftop is where you would like to be from Thursday to Sunday.

The Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair is back and promises a weekend of African designers, renowned chefs and gin distilleries.

Did someone say gin? The craft gin movement has taken off in recent years and the fair will feature several boutique distilleries.

Of the five gin distilleries, Time Anchor will be launching a colour changing gin that you have to see for yourself!

Colour Changing Gin! Introducing the first of our two new Gins to the Time Anchor family! A year ago we started product development on our new Gins, and many visitors to TAD have been very patient in waiting for our new Gins after sampling them at the Distillery. We are thrilled to announce that your wait is almost over! Officially available in October 2017 @sanlam_hmc we will be showcasing these products at events at at our Distillery until then. Our (Shhhh the name is still a secret) blue gin gets its colour from a careful and intricate infusion of the butterfly pea flower and once you add tonic it turns pink! Keep an eye on our social media platforms for new updates and information! #gin #bluegin #pinkgin #magicgin #newgin #rosegin #rose #blue #pink #tonic #gandt #ginstagram #instagin #ginoclock

The fair was launched in 2010 by Artlogic and Sanlam. It features the best local furniture crafters, artisan products, top SA chefs, high-end wine labels, microbreweries and speciality dishes.

There is a total of 120 exhibitors.

There will be a look into why African designers are so well received internationally, this is mostly the view of guest curator Tapiwa Matsinde.

There are three chefs taking part in the fair: Daniela Gutstadt (Culinary Table), Chef Jack Coetzee (Urbanologi) and Chef Paulo Santo (Gemeli’s).
