Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has addressed Umkhonto we Sizwe veterans at its national conference.
JOHANNESBURG - Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country is in need of leaders who do not steal and aren't easily captured.
Ramaphosa addressed Umkhonto we Sizwe veterans at its national conference in Nasrec on Saturday morning.
Also in attendance was former president and MK soldier Kgalema Motlanthe and presidential hopeful Lindiwe Sisulu.
Ramaphosa was warmly received by the former MK combatants who nodded and agreed with much of his sentiments.
He says the ANC is in a dangerous place and needs selfless leaders with accountability.
“We need cadres who will not steal and cadres who will not regard state resources, given to them to manage, as their own."
Ramaphosa says the elective conference could see the rebirth of the ANC or its death.
